I have been seeing Mr Chakraborti since the beginning of this year, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was extremely upset as it had come as unexpected news. At the very first meeting, he made me feel at ease. He listened carefully to my concerns, giving me the time I needed to air my concerns, and allowed me to ask questions, without me feeling pressured. He explained the diagnosis, simply, ensuring I understood as he went on. He then went on to explain planned treatment, covering the possible side effects of each drug. Mr Chakraborti was empathetic with me, whilst being firm that I should not ignore symptoms. (I am one of those people who doesn’t like going to see doctors or going to the hospital, as I find them condescending - which might I add Mr Chakraborti, is not! Therefore avoid them at all costs.) I felt that he has had my welfare in mind, throughout my treatment so far. I liked that he listened, was professional throughout, and caring towards me. During meeting for a sad situation still managed to get a smile out of me. Overall, a great oncologist, that I fully recommend.

I attended my first consultation with Dr Chakraborti with a degree of uncertainty of what to expect and a measure of apprehension. However, on meeting Dr Chakraborti I was immediately put at ease by his manner. With a professional attitude and a sense of humour I left the consultation with a better understanding of my condition and a positive attitude. Dr Chakraborti explained my condition, the treatment I was to receive and what to expect during the treatment and after. All my questions were answered fully and relevant information provided.

I have been a patient of Dr Chakraborti since April 2012 when diagnosed with primary breast cancer. He was very thorough and professional and ensured that I went through my treatment as easily as possible. In December 2017 I found out that my cancer had spread. Dr Chakraborti was overseas at the time but was still able to offer support, arrange tests and treatment via my healthcare provider so that there were no delays. I have total confidence in his ability, his care for his patients and how much he loves his job.

The consultation was all that should be expected, good atmosphere, understanding and kindly approach, things well explained, questions answered fully and honestly. At the time of my consultation I came away with a good impression that all was being done that it is possible to do for my condition and I had no cause or need for improvements.

Being diagnosed with breast cancer was probably the scariest thing I've ever had to go through.Dr Chakraborti was able to ease the pressure and reassure me that things were going to be okay and constantly reminding me to maintain a positive outlook on things and never to play the victim or else cancer would of won. One year on and cancer free I've never felt more alive and my outlook on life has changed drastically thanks to Dr Chakraborti. Dr Chakraborti has been very patient and understanding and helped me through my toughest times and always maintained a caring nature I can't thank him enough for all the support and I look forward to our visits.
